What you’ll need
1 x Empty West Coast Cocoa tube
2 x Sheets of patterned or plain paper
1 x Sheet of thick card, or cardboard
Now get creating…
Using a kraft knife, cut the ‘driver’s seat’ at the top of the tube. * This is something that an adult needs
Choose some paper to cover the tube (including the ends)
Draw around the end of the tube on the wrong side of the paper and cut two circles a little larger than the circle you’ve drawn. Snip up to the circle line to ensure the end paper covers the end of the tubes and can stick onto the edges.
Glue the end circles onto each end of the tube
Cut a strip of paper long enough to wrap around the tube and the width of the tube.
Glue onto the tube
Using the kraft knife, cut the ‘hole’ out for the driver’s seat
Find an appropriately sized jar lid to draw around for the ‘tyres’.
We recycled an old box and drew around the jar lid for each tyre, Cut out the tyre circles, then paint both sides with black paint
Glue the tyres onto the tube
Finally, find a ‘driver’ for the car… we used a wooden ‘person’ but it was a tough decision between that or a princess fairy!
